Session description

Métis Nation-Saskatchewan (MN-S) is the government that represents Métis citizens in Saskatchewan and MN-S Ministry of Health is responsible for improving the health and well-being of Métis citizens in Saskatchewan. The Ministry of Health does this through program development and operation, research and data partnerships, and the development of a Métis Health and Well-being Strategy.

In this webinar, participants will:

  • Learn about the MN-S definition of health and wellness, as well as Métis social determinants of health.
  • Understand the MN-S distinctions-based approach to program and service development and delivery for Métis patients and their families.
  • Understand the role of the Métis government and partner collaboration in addressing health disparities between Métis and non-Métis peoples in Saskatchewan.
