We are seeking a creative and dynamic Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview

We are looking for an eager Marketing and Communications Specialist who possesses exceptional creativity, initiative, and a passion for learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our social and digital communication platforms, working with external partners to create blogs and webinars, gathering and compiling analytics, and creating visually appealing documents and graphics.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be in charge of developing quarterly content calendars that will act as a road map for our newsletters, social media posts, blogs, and other marketing deliverables
  • Manage our email marketing platforms and social media accounts. You will create and send modern and visually appealing emails, newsletters, social posts, and more
  • Oversee our website by creating new pages, managing the user experience, and updating content as necessary
  • Design materials for digital and print advertising, such as, graphics for banners, one-pagers, videos, etc.
  • Work with external partners to create the assets they need to deliver impactful webinars to our audience
  • Gather and conduct analysis on our marketing efforts, reviewing and proposing potential recommendations for improvement
  • Document our work on location where you will assist in photographing and filming events
  • Assist our Learning Programs Team in spreading the word and recruiting for the various programs we have available to physicians and clinicians in Saskatchewan
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education such as a certification or university degree in journalism, marketing, or a related field
  • A combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of social media and website management
  • Highly creative, with the ability to think outside the box and suggest new ideas
  • Possess a continuous learning mindset, someone who can easily adapt to change with a passion for learning and developing new skills.
  • Quick learner who shows initiative to complete work effectively and efficiently while managing deadlines
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.

Nice to have

  • An eye for design with experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop to create visually appealing communications pieces
  • In-depth knowledge of shooting photos and videos using DSLR cameras
  • Experience with Premiere Pro, Audition, and/or After Effects to edit videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Website management and design expertise using WordPress, including basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
  • Any relevant certifications, like GA4, MailChimp, etc.
  • A portfolio of past work examples
