Our 2013-14 annual report describes the ways in which we are supporting the implementation of Lean, and the Hoshin Kanri planning process, as the primary improvement approach for making care better and safer for Saskatchewan citizens.
The measurement and analysis of data to inform decision-making by clinicians and policy development by leaders continues to be an important part of our work; the report highlights our collaboration with health care partners in Saskatchewan and nationally on efforts to provide better care for high users of our health system, reduce variation in the delivery of care, and assess patient safety risks of some prescription medicines.
