Join the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council (HQC) for a public meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in Gallery A at TCU Place in Saskatoon. Members of HQC’s Board of Directors will discuss HQC’s contributions to current initiatives underway to make health care better and safer, and look ahead to new work on the horizon. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. Everyone is welcome to attend.
HQC’s mission is to accelerate improvement in the quality of health care throughout Saskatchewan. In October 2016, HQC released a three-year strategy for working with organizations and patients in this province to accelerate improvements in health care quality and safety. HQC’s new plan includes four priority strategies for continuing to make health care better and safer:
- Integrate patients and families as partners in all aspects of health care
- Build learning systems to spread knowledge on improving health care quality and safety
- Measure health care outcomes and processes to generate evidence for decision making
- Drive improvements in health care quality and safety by spreading best practices, ideas, and innovations
