Interested in learning more about Choosing Wisely Canada (CWC)? The 3rd Annual National Meeting, Choosing Wisely Canada: Leading and Implementing Change, will take place April 23, 2018 at Toronto’s Globe and Mail Conference Centre.
Choosing Wisely Saskatchewan (CWSK), coordinated by Health Quality Council, is a proud supporter of Choosing Wisely Canada and provides local support to provincial initiatives to reduce unnecessary care through the provincial Appropriateness of Care program and grassroots Choosing Wisely initiatives. It engages patients and families through the More is Not Always Better campaign. The Choosing Wisely Saskatchewan team is excited about the national meeting as it is an opportunity for clinicians, patients and system leaders across Canada to come together to discuss topics related to reducing unnecessary care.

Themes for this year’s national meeting are measurement and implementation of CWC recommendations. This national event also offers the opportunity for Saskatchewan clinicians, students, and leaders and administrators to share their work with colleagues from across the country. A Call for Abstracts is now open until January 31st. CWC encourages abstracts on themes from a variety of perspectives, including medical education, quality improvement, de-prescribing, patient engagement, implementation challenges and successes, and measurement and evaluation.
