On November 19, the stakeholder group advising Saskatchewan’s Emergency Department Waits and Patient Flow Initiative met in Saskatoon.
The day featured a keynote presentation by Dr. Chris Simpson, president of the Wait Times Alliance and past president of the Canadian Medical Association, entitled Why Canada needs a national seniors strategy. In a panel presentation, Saskatchewan leaders and Dr. Simpson shared their perspectives on improving care delivery in the community, in hospital and within the emergency department.
