Cultural Advisor

Ira is a traditional knowledge keeper and an activist for the preservation of the Cree language. She and her husband are avid community helpers in their home community of Thunderchild First Nation. 

Ira worked for corrections and public safety for over 25 years, and for the past 10 or so years, she has held various cultural/traditional mentor positions. She is also well-known in her community for being a First Nations first responder.
