Speaker:

Danielle Williams, Executive Director, Battlefords Concern For Youth Inc (CFY)

Session Description:

Concern For Youth provides outreach and mentorship services to youth in the Battlefords area. It was formed in 1990 by members of the community as a response to escalating gang activity, homelessness, and youth crime. Using QI tools and approaches, CFY was able to form a new and improved strategic plan and put focus on upgrading our mentorship program through voice/choice of youth and staff. Things at CFY are going well but they can always improve!

In this webinar participants will:

  • Hear how Battlefords Concern For Youth has grown from an outreach program to a mentorship program, and how they developed programming and partnerships to support youth in the community.
  • Learn how CFY used the Community QI Collective to bring a new perspective into their programs.
  • Explore ways to meaningfully engage with youth and staff to determine what’s going well and what can be improved.
